Bolton Clarke named an Employer of Choice

Bolton Clarke is pleased to have been named an Employer of Choice in the Australian Business Awards 2023.

The award recognises organisations and workplaces that maximise the full potential of their workforce through established policies and practices and effective employee recruitment, engagement and retention.

Judges considered the organisation's innovative in-house training and education programs, access to best practices through research and clinical expertise, ongoing professional development, wellbeing offerings and industry-leading safety management system.

CEO Stephen Muggleton said the award was a credit to Chief People Officer Mel Leahy, the skilled executive leadership team and the care managers and supervisors who have worked to develop frontline teams.

“Over the past five years our Chief People Officer Mel Leahy has developed and executed a range of strategies to support our 14,000 strong workforce,” he said.

“Those strategies have supported remarkable workplace health and safety records and tremendous leadership depth across all services streamed and businesses."

Bolton Clarke is Australia’s largest independent not-for-profit provider of home care, retirement living and residential aged care services, operating nationally and internationally.

The organisation’s vocation to care is demonstrated in support, services and welcoming home environments that enable people to live positively. This care is underpinned by Bolton Clarke’s in-house Research Institute dedicated to enhancing lives through research, applied knowledge and health leadership.

With RSL Care (Queensland) and the Royal District Nursing Service (Victoria) at the heart of its DNA, Bolton Clarke has been caring for Australians since 1885. In 2022 the organisation welcomed Allity and Acacia Living Group to the Bolton Clarke Group, followed by McKenzie Aged Care in 2023.
