Babies top of the visitor list at Cleveland’s Seaton Place
Baby fever has set in at Seaton Place aged care home in Cleveland, where a local Mum’s group has been visiting eagerly awaiting residents.
The intergenerational play group is an initiative started by a family member of staff at the aged care residence and brings together local Mums and their bubs for regular visits.
Seaton Place Lifestyle Coordinator Lisa Pawlenko says that babies Flora, Miles, Percy, Ollie and Emellia bring huge smiles to the residents faces.
“The first visit was a huge success, and all of the residents said they are looking forward to the next visit,” she said.
“They had the biggest smiles on their faces, and all waited patiently for a cuddle. The residents thought the babies were adorable and it certainly brought back so many memories for all of them.”
Resident Ken enjoyed reminiscing with Flora’s Mum, sharing stories and pictures of his own grandchildren, while Pat took a trip down memory lane, remembering when her own daughters were little.
Gladys was especially taken by the babies, offering to take them home with her!
“They’re just so beautiful - I had seven of my own so I’m sure I could look after them,” she said.
