Aged care resident gets the party started with Pink

It’s not your usual aged care outing, but team members at Bolton Clarke’s Charlesbrook aged care home surprised resident and Pink fan Chris with a trip to the star’s recent Melbourne concert.

Chris was accompanied by her Charlesbrook Personal Care Assistant Rose, with the pair donning Pink’s merch and singing along to every song.  

“I have loved Pink since forever, she’s been my favourite artist for as long as I can remember,” Chris said.

“It was a huge surprise and I didn’t know I was going until Rose bought the tickets.

“Rose is also a big Pink fan so we sang and sang and sang along with every song and it was great having her by my side,” she said.

Ticking off seeing Pink from her bucket list, Chris says the entire experience was beyond what she had ever expected and it’s all thanks to the Charlesbrook team.

“I feel so very lucky to have the staff go above and beyond – I’ll be forever grateful.

“The whole experience was so memorable  – I never thought I’d be doing things like this in aged care.

“The staff put it all together and I can’t thank them enough – it was my dream to see Pink live in concert and the amazing experience was all thanks to the amazing people that work here.”

For Rose, the evening outing was a no brainer, giving Chris an unforgettable opportunity. 

“It was amazing to share the experience with Chris and to see the absolute joy on her face was priceless,” Rose said.  

“We had so much fun singing along and picking the best Pink merch to get – Pink is just such a talented artist and puts on a great show!

“Now we have decorated Chris’ room with all the pictures we took of the night so she always has that memory right there in front of her.”
